International Refugee Rights Association’s Foreign Relations Board’s first priority is to work in partnership with civil society organizations actively in the field of human and refugee rights. The Foreign Relations Board interacts with universities in the world that have centers on refugee rights and leading academics, and conducts joint academic studies and aims to raise awareness of the world about the unlawful practices that refugees are subjected to. It also visits refugee camps, where refugees are most populated.
The purpose of these visits is to listen to the legal problems of refugees and try to find solutions to the problems in collaboration with local lawyers. The monitoring of the applications made outside of Turkey is also done by this committee.
After evaluating the applications, the lawyers in the region are contacted and the process is followed in order to provide legal support to refugees.
